TPRNo4 Winner

October 2, 2024

Robin Gemperle (001) is the winner of the fourth edition of the Trans Pyrenees Race

Finishing in a time of: 4 Days, 20 Hours, 27 Minutes

Robin has put on yet another impressive Race, executing a consistently strong ride and getting himself to every CP at the front of the line. It is the first time in Lost Dot history that we’ve seen a rider win both the Transcontinental Race and the Trans Pyrenees Race in the same year, and we are honoured to have such a talented athlete in our midst.

The experienced Swiss rider remained cool-headed at every turn, despite a resolute Anatole Naimi (044) at his heels for nearly all 2000KM. Always maintaining a calculated lead, the Race appeared close on the tracking map, but Robin was monitoring Anatole closely, estimating next moves and working hard to keep the healthy gap required just so.

Always taking care to show respect for the Spirit and the Rules of the Race, Robin is an excellent role model within the sport and a friendly face in the community. Robin’s light-hearted attitude and good humour come through at every interaction with the Race team and volunteers, making him a pleasure to have at our races.

Despite being utterly exhausted, and putting himself through a major challenge both mentally and physically, Robin never fails to conduct himself with a deft style out on the road. At the Finish, he mentions that it was a shame that he did not compete in the Accursed Race this year, as he liked the idea of being the first to every CP at all three of Lost Dot races in a single season—a classy move indeed.Congratulations on your achievement, Robin!
